For a while, it felt like spring was never going to come, but the apple blossoms are out in Manhattan and Sex as a Second Language is finally on the shelves. I'm extremely excited to be out in hardcover -- and I am overjoyed with the look of the book, especially its sexy, sophisticated cover art.

I'm also relieved -- and happy -- with the book's early reviews from the Library Journal and the Boston Globe. (Barbara Samuel from Book Page said that "The engaging heroine, a well-drawn cast and the author’s compassionate eye takes what might have been Chick Lit of the Week to a much more satisfying level.")

I'm looking forward to getting to meet readers in person at the Coliseum Bookstore in Manhattan on Wednesday, April 26 at 6:30 pm (with wine and cheese, no less) as well as at the Oblong Bookstore in Rhinebeck NY on Saturday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. For other dates and locations, keep checking my website.

Of course, a writer's life isn't all wine and cheese, as fellow writer (and fretter) Deirdre Martin and I reveal in this month's Between the Lines.

And as always, feel free to drop me an email with any comments and questions.
