Greetings
from Alisa
I'm pleased to report that Moonburn,
the sequel to The
Better to Hold You, has already gone back to
press for the third time...and all this before it hits
the shelves today.
For a lot of us, spring used to mean going out and splurging
on all manner of portable property. Some of us may even
have splurged on the non-portable kind. But these days,
money is tighter, and like a lot of folks, I have a whole
new appreciation for affordable little luxuries.
Such as
books. I know I could go to the library, but for me, reading
a novel while soaking in a tub is one of life's great joys,
and for that, ownership is a must.
I also tend to get chocolate and tomato sauce on books.
Which is why so few people want to borrow them from me.
According
to the New York Times, I'm not alone in my refusal to give
up my addiction to paperbacks. Despite the fact that publishers -- and editors and
writers -- are clearly feeling the economic pinch, readers are still buying romance
novels.
I think I'll celebrate by buying some more books... |
