I don’t know if it’s global warming or not, but spring in
New York is feeling a hell of a lot like summer. Not that I’m complaining – summer
still gives me the vague sense that something sexy might happen. So far
this summer, I've been looking forward to the release of my new book,
On the Couch, now available and shipping.
My husband says this book is his favorite, probably because it contains
the most unabashedly masculine hero I’ve ever written, NYPD cop
Joseph Kain. Since the book’s
half written from Joe’s point of view, I spent a fair amount of
time doing research, most of it at my local precinct, the 24, and with
retired detective captain Sal Blando, who rules security from the very
top
floor of the Plaza Hotel.
The, er, kinky stuff I just made up. No research involved. Really. Check
it out yourself -- I have posted an online excerpt.
Anyway, I’m gearing up for some promotional fun, including giving
sex advice this July on Nerve.com, and participating in a book signing
on June 30th (yes, tomorrow) during a monster shopathon at Manhattan’s
Metropolitan Pavilion on West 18th. To find out where to buy tickets
to this event, check Girl’s Night Out at www.shecky’s.com --
I’ll post more precise information under events here as soon as
I know it.
Any questions or comments? Feel free to write
me!
